John has been involved in Business Intelligence activities for nearly 10 years and has worked at some of the largest companies in Australia in this area. He has advised a wide range of Australian organisations, including Caltex, Qantas Airways, NSW Department of Health, Commonwealth Bank and most recently a large online Bank. These positions included a variety of BI activities:

• Advanced customer analytics
• Automation of BI solutions for airline activities
• Business support of Management Reporting
• Design and development of reporting and dashboarding solutions

He is an expert user of Business Objects and Cognos, but has used most BI tools including Hyperion and SAS.

Zeyad Sweidan

Zeyad Sweidan has over 14 years experience in the IT industry working currently with Fujitsu Australia and previously with PricewterhouseCoopers and IBM Australia. He has experience in different sectors including financial, airline, government, and health. In the last 6 years his focus has been on the Business Intelligence and Data warehousing field and has been involved in major BI projects. He is active in the local BI&DW market and he initiated and currently convenes the Australian Computer Society BI Special Interest Group.
