Space-Time Research Integrates with ESRI

Integration with ArcGIS demonstrated at user conference

31/10/2008

Space-Time Research Pty, Ltd. (STR), the global leader in Self-Service Business Intelligence solutions for government, has unveiled integration with the latest GIS product from ESRI at the OZRI conference in Canberra on 27 October. Integration of the SuperSTAR ad-hoc tabulation with ESRI web mapping offers easy thematic mapping for end users.

The integration of STR’s Web-based analytic application with ESRI’s latest product, the ArcGIS Server 9.3, combines efficient programming interfaces with intelligent server-side caching to provide reduced rendering times. Along with SuperSTAR’s high-performance, multidimensional tabulation queries, this rendering efficiency makes real time creation of high quality thematic maps a fast and easy experience on the Web. The flexibility of SuperSTAR and the ability to apply confidentiality allows analysis of individual records and the ability to drill down into the most complex of geographical hierarchies.

“Integration with ArcGIS Server allows our customers to provide ad-hoc analytic and reporting services where users can identify areas of interest on a map and then create thematic maps based on their own analyses” said Don McIntosh, Product and Marketing Director at STR. “In addition to many navigation options, users have full control of a variety of presentation aspects, and intelligent algorithms to ensure flexible and appropriate color distributions. This allows the rapid creation of useful, informative maps with a minimum of effort. The solution is an integral part of the recently introduced CDATA Online from the Australian Bureau of Statistics that provides information services for census data.”

The integration will be demonstrated by Space-Time Research at the ESRI European, Middle East and Africa User Conference 2008, to be held in London from 28 - 30 October and was demonstrated at the OZRI User Conference in Canberra, Australia.

I have the pleasuyre to brief on our Data Visualization software "Trend Compass".

TC is a new concept in viewing statistics and trends in an animated way by displaying 5 axis (X, Y, Time, Bubble size & Bubble color) instead of just the traditional X and Y axis. It could be used in analysis, research, presentation etc. In the banking sector, we have Deutsche Bank New York as our client.

I hope you could evaluate it and give me your comments. So many ideas are there.

You can download a trial version. It has a feature to export EXE,PPS,HTML and AVI files. The most impressive is the AVI since you can record Audio/Video for the charts you create.
