Post Zyme Solutions Improves Channel Intelligence with Qliktech and Informatica

From a press release:

Tuesday, 10 March 2009

QlikTech, the world’s fastest-growing Business Intelligence (BI) software vendor, and Informatica Corporation, the leading independent provider of data integration software and services, today announced that Zyme Solutions (Zyme) is leveraging QlikView analysis from QlikTech and the Informatica data integration platform to deliver its pioneering channel intelligence service offering.

Zyme, the leading provider of hosted channel intelligence services to the high-tech industry, is one of the first vendors to benefit from the combined offering. Zyme processes more than five million channel point-of-sale & inventory transactions every week, from daily feeds originating at distributors and retailers in more than 140 countries. Data volumes are expected to double in the next year, as Zyme continues serving large technology companies with the most complex distribution networks in the world.

“Informatica’s leading data integration and data quality software and QlikView’s versatile and flexible technology solution are important building blocks of our channel intelligence services platform,” said Chandran Sankaran, CEO of Zyme Solutions. “This partnership will provide a strong foundation for Zyme’s data management and visualisation capabilities, and will allow us to expand our distinctive and proprietary channel intelligence software and content offerings.”

The combination of Informatica’s robust data integration products, such as PowerCenter, Informatica B2B Data Transformation and Informatica Data Quality, with QlikView’s advanced data visualisation capabilities enables enterprises to optimise their entire data management process, increase data quality and reduce time spent on data integration.

“Our partnership with QlikTech delivers an innovative new solution to market that unlocks the value of business data,” said Harry Gould, senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances, Informatica. “Delivering trustworthy, timely data greatly optimises an organisation’s ability to gain new levels of information access, productivity and insight, which in turn supports the need to be operationally efficient.”

QlikView gives users the information they need to make optimal decisions today – at a fraction of the cost of traditional BI software. On top of the Informatica platform, QlikView will offer enterprise clients rapid, user-driven analysis and reporting, enabling the visualisation of massive amounts of data at the click of a button.

“QlikView analysis on the Informatica platform ensures fast, integrated and accurate data analysis. When delivered in conjunction with Zyme’s unique combination of channel intelligence software, content and services, business users in marketing, sales, operations and finance functions gain an unparalleled and timely view of their channel sales data globally. This gives them the ability to make critical business decisions in a timely manner,” said Peter McQuade, vice president of alliances at QlikTech. “In today’s economic environment, this assurance of clean data and instantaneous visualisation is no longer a competitive advantage, but a necessity, and we are pleased to be an important part of Zyme’s success.”
