Front End Developer – Immediate start

We’re on the lookout for a talented, creative-minded individual with a real passion for front end development. Someone that can work with our clients, to help design, consult and build great interfaces and effectively communicate the benefits of good front end design. A great work ethic, passion to learn and great troubleshooting skills are a must have for this role.

You will need to be conceptually strong and completely understand front end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. You will be expected to work closely with our internal production team and ensure that your projects are on time and taken through the proper QA process.

You must have a high level of understanding of emerging web technologies with a demonstrated ability to solve technical challenges for varying project requirements. The ability to be self-directed and motivated in the management and prioritising of your workload is paramount. You must be able to perform under pressure and consistently provide and create work of the highest standard.

Abilities:

• Be enthusiastic and passionate about web development technologies
• Can work well with other team members and stakeholders
• Can communicate effectively with a variety of people, including clients at all levels
• Can write clear-cut technical documents discussing solution objectives and requirements
• Can provide accurate effort estimation and is able to work towards estimates
• Can display working knowledge in emerging interactive technologies and new products
• Is continually providing efficient, bug free and exceptional solutions and code
• Has an attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality
• Understands and can respect professional confidentiality

Skills & experience:

• Have at least 3 years industry experience in web development
• Have an in-depth understanding and advanced working knowledge of:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
• Have previous experience working as a product development within the web / Internet industry
• Have experience working with source control, team collaboration and project tracking systems
• Have exceptional customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

Advantageous:

• Understanding of back-end server technologies (JSP/Cold Fusion/PHP/ASP.Net)
• Understanding of back-end database technologies (MS-SQL/MYSQL)
• Mobile development experience
• Subversion or other source control experience
