DWS Appoints General Manager NSW & ACT

DWS Advanced Business Solutions Ltd (DWS) CEO Mr Danny Wallis has announced the appointment of Mr Bob Coombs to the position of General Manager for NSW and the ACT.

Mr Coombs joins DWS from Getronics where he was Managing Director. Mr Wallis said Mr Coombs brings a strong record of achievement in business development within the professional services and information Technology industries.

“Bob is regarded as one of the most successful general management, sales and acquisition professionals in the Australian Information Technology and Communications industry.

“Since he joined in February, DWS has already seen a marked increase in sales and utilisation in its Sydney operations.”

Mr Coombs has overall responsibility for driving revenue growth and maintaining trusted partnerships with clients in the NSW and ACT regions.

In a career spanning over 25 years Mr Coombs has held very senior sales and general management positions with EDS, CSC, KPMG and Getronics. In his former years Bob was Deputy CIO at CSR Limited.

He has a Master of Arts from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW.

A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Mr Coombs is also a qualified CPA and current Chairman of the University of Wollongong School of Informatics Advisory Board.

He is also a past Director and member of The Australian Golf Club and Managing Director of the Randwick Rugby Foundation.
