ISS alliance targets refining sector

WA developer ISS Group has entered a global alliance with British developer KBC Advanced Technologies covering the joint provision of performance management solutions to the refining and petrochemical industry. The offerings will combine KBC's refinery and process consulting and simulation software with ISS's BabelFish production integration application.

"In today's environment it is important to offer solutions that allow companies to maximise the value created from their plant data," said Grant Eggleton, global business development manager of ISS. "In combination with the KBC models, the BabelFish Web-based visualisation framework allows production engineers, planners, and managers to proactively monitor and make adjustments to operations, planning, and scheduling."
