![]() | Check your user profile settings, on both the Salesforce community site and on your instance of Salesforce.com. Both have “opt in” configurations to receive various email blasts. I’ve signed up for just about every email list Salesforce.com has (they have several different lists targeted to different audiences: general users, administrators, AppExchange users, etc.) I find the mailings helpful, because they sometimes point out aspects of the platform that we’re not taking full advantage of or ways we can enhance our CRM tool. Of course, there’s always the possibility that this was just human error. Just because you have a CRM system that shows all of the outbound emails you’ve sent to customers or prospective leads doesn’t mean your CRM system will BLOCK your employees from mistakenly adding a wrong customer to a certain mass mail list. If it’s really bothersome, you certainly have the option to click the “opt out” list at the bottom of their email. That should effectively take you off future mailings.
