IT Project Manager

12 Months contract based in Canberra

Mandatory skills:

1. Demonstrated experience managing the IT components of a collocation/ re-location of a large Government organisation at the operation level including:
o In accordance with Business Owner’s intent;
o Satisfying IT Group and other stakeholder requirements;
o Adhering to Project Management Framework methodology; and
o In accordance with any other specified governance requirements.

Highly Desirable:

1. Demonstrated proven experience with the following:
o Secure endorsement from the appropriate IT Executive stakeholders for a definitive set of IT Concepts and Principles to be incorporated in the design of new office buildings;
o Deliver a high level IT cabling infrastructure design specification that will cater for the endorsed IT Concepts and Principles to be incorporated in a new office building Functional Requirements Brief;
o Develop and implement an IT Communications Design (LAN & WAN) that will cater for both the IT production and development/test environments of Centrelink branches to be relocated to a new office building;
o Deliver an IT cabling fitout detailed design specification for a new office building that will cater for both the IT voice and data requirements of the Centrelink staff destined for that site;

2. Demonstrated proven experience with the following
o Manage the to provision an IT office fitout in a new office building that will cater for both the IT voice and data requirements of the Centrelink staff destined for that site;
o Manage the provision of an IT fitout in a new office building that will effectively cater for both the IT voice and data requirements in each of the specialised IT areas of that site (including, but not limited to, Centrelink Network Operations Centre (CNOC), IT Support Centre ( ITSC), Business Television (BTV), and IT Laboratory environment);
o Manage the provision of infrastructure in a new office building to cater for any non-standard or special user requirements;
o Manage the relocation of identified Communications equipment from existing sites to a new office building;
o Manage the relocation of identified Communications links from existing sites to a new office building;
o Manage the relocation of specific IT Laboratory equipment from existing locations to the specialised IT areas of a new office building; and
o Manage the relocation of identified office and desktop technology equipment from existing locations to a new office environment (this may include PCs.)
