Business software provider, SAP, has formed a new business division for its Australian and New Zealand operations and appointed a new man to head up the division and to spearhead sales of integrated solutions for business users.
Rajeev Mitroo has been appointed to the role of the General Manager of the newly formed SAP BusinessObjects Division for Australia and New Zealand with responsibility to drive sales of integrated solutions for the business user, comprising business intelligence, performance management and information management solutions previously from BusinessObjects, as well as SAP's traditional platform, governance, risk and compliance (GRC) offerings.
Tim Ebbeck, SAP's ANZ Managing Director, said “having seen the combined strength of both SAP and BusinessObjects and the importance of this market segment, SAP is extending the SAP BusinessObjects's solution offering to also include SAP's Platform solutions, providing even greater depth to target this significant market space.
"Rajeev's broad experience and proven track record will enable him to successfully take on the challenges and opportunities for his new position, as SAP continues to enable business users in Australia and New Zealand to transform the way they work by connecting people, information and business."
Based in Sydney, Mitroo will report to Ebbeck as well Simon Dale, SAP's Senior Vice President for Business User Platform APJ.
According to Mitroo, "SAP BusinessObject's solution offering enables organisations to reap the performance and operational efficiencies they need to grow and guide their businesses, which is especially relevant in the current economic climate."
Mitroo is a former sales director for Business Objects and prior to that he worked with Vignette, Borland, Novell and Intel.
